Thank you for your interest in performing at the 2013 Edmonton International Jazz Festival.  We are currently accepting Alberta based artist submissions for 2013.  You will be contacted prior to April 1, 2013, if you have been selected.  You have the option to either submit an electronic submission through Sonicbids, or mail us a physical package for consideration.  Please see below for detailed information.

Physical Submissions - Via Mail

Due to the high volume of applications to the festival:

We recommend that submissions be thorough and complete.
Please do not send originals as submission packages will not be returned under any circumstances.
Only the successful applicants will be contacted.
Please include the following details/documents with your submission to ensure you receive the attention you deserve:

A clearly labelled, playable CD or CDR.
A brief description of your music, including style, influences, etc.
A list of all group members' names and instruments.
Any applicable GST numbers.
Contact details including:  Contact Name/ Phone(including area/country code)/Email/Mailing Address

We do our best to promote the performances of each artist/act selected to perform at the Jazz Festival. To strengthen our efforts we ask that you provide us with a list of your social media links and any online marketing tools/sites you may be using to promote your music and you performances.

Canadian Musicians (based outside the Edmonton Area)
Artist submission deadline: October 31, 2012 for the 2013 Edmonton International Jazz Festival (CLOSED)

Please be advised that submissions received after October 31, 2012 will not be considered for the 2012 Festival.

Canadian musicians are eligible to apply for a touring grant through the Canada Council in order to offset some of their travel costs while touring within Canada. This support allows them to facilitate working all or art of the Canadian jazz festival circuit. For more information on the Canada Council's Music Festival Travel Grants CLICK HERE.

International Musicians (based outside of Canada)
Artist submission deadline: October 31, 2012 for the 2013 Edmonton International Jazz Festival (CLOSED)

Please be advised that submissions received after October 31, 2012 will not be considered for the 2013 Festival. 

International applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, however only submissions received by October 31, 2012, will be considered for the the 2013 event. This deadline ensures we have ample time to assess your materials prior to mid-October, when many programming decisions take place, it is recommended to submit your materials early.

The EJFS does its best to accommodate and support its provincial talent but due to the limitations of our program it is not always possible to accommodate everyone with a performance. Please submit your packages in due time to allow for adequate time to access your submission.
